PUBLISHED AUTHOR - SECOND BOOK - WORKING

A few  years ago, I wrote a short story.  The idea came to me during the night, when I do my best thinking. I wrote the short story and put it away.  I was happy with the short story but I did nothing with it.

Last year I was watching a you tube video about a woman who was instructing people on how to get in contact with their spirit guides and/or guardian angels.  Instructing you how to meditate, clear your mind and ask that your spirit guide to present themselves to you.  I did this and the name Lucky popped into my head.  I had a clear vision of him.  I felt at peace with this.

I talk to my spirit guide each day, thanking him for my blessings - and yes - I have truly been blessed.

Now you can have more than one spirit guide in  your life.  About 2 weeks ago, the song Jessies girl came on the radio.  I haven't heard this song in a long long time.  Heard the song 3 times in one day.  Hint from the spirit guides?  I am told that things happen in groupings.

I have decided that Jessie is my second spirit guide.  So each day I say good morning to them and thank them for my blessings and always wish them peace and love.

The other morning, driving into work, your brain wanders. The short story popped into my head.  Why do I not publish that story. I think its a good story. Maybe better than good?

The more I thought about it the more that I wanted to revisit the story and expand on it.  Give it deeper depth, more emotional.  I know exactly what I want to do to improve my story.

Got home after work and pulled the story up on my computer.

In reading the first paragraph, my one characters name..... Jesse.

Methinks someone is giving me a message.

So,  Conviction of Forgiveness will be my second book.  I anticipate that it will be ready in about a month.

Stay tuned!

PUBLISHED AUTHOR - FIRST BOOK - PART 2

Family and friends are buying my ebook and paperback.  I get to see how many people purchase my books.  So far as of today - just 3 days into publishing - 6 books have been purchased!

Now is the part thats difficult - promoting my own book.  Going to do a few tik toks... keep up with face book, try twitter.... I am having difficulty with KDP putting the book on Kindle Select.  This is all a learning curve for me.  I want to find out how to do everything on this book so that the next book goes smoother.

Its a learning process.

PUBLISHED AUTHOR - FIRST TIME - FIRST BOOK

And .............  I am a published author.  Uploaded my book on to Amazon - e-book and paperback.

Looking in on Sunday and there it is - My American Angel - in ebook form.  I, ladies and gentlemen, am a published author.

My American Angel: Alexei and Angela - Kindle edition by Mervyn, Catherine, Stacey, John. Literature & Fiction Kindle eBooks @ Amazon.com.

Of course I ordered my own e-book and 10 copies to give out to friends and family.

Now the hard part.  I am a quiet person, introverted and now my words are out there.  They are out in the world.  Now, as silly as it sounds, this is giving me a stomach ache.  Silly right?  Excitement and dread at the same time.

or even... just silence... no one reading my book... so many feelings.... giving me heart palpitations.

But, its out there.  And I am proud of what I accomplished.

Now I have started my second book:  I just met a girl - the story of Dario and Maria.  I am planning on this being published in approx 6 months.

New Author - Cover Reveal

OMG - I am about to bust in excitement.

This is the cover of my book.  The editing is done, I am awaiting on the formatting and the cover is now finished.  For my first book ... MY. FIRST. BOOK. Little ole' me!  I finally did it.  I am going to be a published author.  I have to say, this is one of the biggest things I have done in my life.

I can't wait to get my second book down in print and get that started now.

Very exciting indeed.

New Author - Part 9

I got my book back from the editor and he was very helpful.  I want to put his information on my first page with his information.  It is the right thing to do.

Now, off to the formatter tonight.

I am also in contact with a cover designer for the cover of my book.  I think I will have a working cover next week and then..... then.... I will submit my first book for publication!

This is a big deal.  A VERY big deal.  I will be a published author.  Me... just wow.  That is kind of surreal for sure.

I am now also working on my second book and writing scenes for the following books in the series.

I have decided to have these books called the Forever Home Series.  Each book and at least one of the characters is going to refer back to having a connection to Forever Home.  The last book of the series will be about the woman who set up Forever Home for girls in distress.  I think just by a quick count, there will be about 12 books in the series.  Each one will be a stand alone book, but they will all be connected by Forever Home.

More to come

New Author - Part 8

Sent my book off to the editor for the second round of edits.  Made some changes, added a few things, added some deeper emotion to Alexei... and I am happy with the results.  Read a few passages to my hubby... and I think his eyes glazed over.  lol.  He is not a reader.  He is more artistic in the way of creating model cars and painting them.  This is where he excels... not reading.  But he did say he was impressed.  Grand hubby praise.

On a bit of a sad note.  My kitty of 15 years passed.  She was such a good baby, she was my bud.  Every evening she would lay on my lap and nap.  Always comforting, always welcome.  But she has passed the rainbow bridge and now is waiting for me on the other side.  I know that she is in a very happy place. But I will miss her little kitty face.  I have three other kittys... and a dog.  I do love my furbabies.  Its just heartbreaking when you lose one.  We are going to have her cremated and will bury her in the flower bed so that she will always be home.

New Year - 2025 Life really does pass on fast.  It is now 2025. A new year, new start, new ideas.  Have not been writing much, shame on me....
